Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with police patrol, criminal and municipal law enforcement, the maintenance of order, public protection and safety, and other basic police services.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
EXPEDITED LATERAL ENTRY PROCESS - If you have a minimum of 6 months of full-time law enforcement experience and you are currently employed, we are looking for officers with a passion for serving our community. Lateral Applicants are eligible for an expedited lateral entry process. Once we receive your application, your process begins. Those officers that successfully complete process may be eligible for an accelerated benefits plan and credited for years of service. This is at the discretion of the Chief of Police and is based on prior years of service. Those officers currently employed out of state will need to complete a reciprocity exam within 1 year of employment.
