Responsibilities:
Patrol is considered to be a primary law enforcement function and embraces much more than the act of uniformed officers making regular and reported rounds while inspecting and guarding the village/town. Patrol is a generalized police function in which officers engage in a wide variety of law enforcement, public safety and public order maintenance activities. Officers shall be responsible for the following major activities: Preventive Patrol, Response to call for service, Crime Prevention, Investigation of offenses, Traffic accident investigation, Traffic Enforcement Maintenance of public order, Enforce Village/Town ordinance and Wisconsin State Statues criminal and traffic laws.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
