Position Responsibilities

Deputy Sheriff performs all the duties of a sworn law enforcement officer as designated by supervisory staff. Maintains protection of life and property and the enforcement of criminal federal and state laws and County ordinances throughout Price County. This position involves the prevention and detention of adult and juvenile crime, apprehension of criminal offenders, and traffic monitoring and enforcement. Other duties include providing assistance to the public, other criminal justice, communications, corrections, and emergency service agencies.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

Lateral entry program may allow for up to 5 years of credit for an Officer's LE experience, to a maximum of $29.51 per hour for 2024.
