Reason for Announcement:
Responsibilities:
Preventative patrol, traffic enforcement, emergency and non-emergency calls for service, and investigations concerning criminal matters. Specialized functions within the department include but are not limited to the K9 unit, drone program, bike patrol (including eBikes), firearms instructor, evidence technician, detective, emergency vehicle operations instructor, defense and arrest tactics instructor, field training officer, community service officer, and crowd control team.

- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record

- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- Previous experience

Education Requirements:
Upon receiving a BA/BS degree, the employee will receive incentive pay on their base rate at eight percent (8%).
Upon receiving a graduate degree, the employee will receive incentive pay on their base rate at ten percent (10%).
