Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

All duties associated with being a Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Wisconsin, as well as all requirements set forth by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

Lateral consideration will be given to those who are currently serving as police officers and who have more than two years of experience. Applicants with 2 - 4.99 years of experience may be eligible to start at PO 2 ($74,779.94). Applicants with five or more years of experience may be eligible to begin at PO 3 ($79,340.78). Lateral transfer applicants will be eligible to complete an accelerated field training program.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions

  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
