Position Responsibilities

The Village of Minong has a population of 550 people and maintains law enforcement coverage for the Village of Minong with some mutual aid to other areas. The Village has a department with a full-time Chief of Police. The Village Board will be considering full and part-time candidates for the patrol officer position. The patrol officer will be under the direct supervision of the Chief of Police, Village President, and the Village Board. Full-time hours are 2080, and part-time would be 1040 with some weekends, night shifts and holidays. The Chief of Police will coordinate the work schedule for all patrol officers as he sees fit, and in a manner that is advantageous to the Village.

A take-home squad is part of employment!!

60 college credits / Associate's degree
Additional Education Information
Applicants must have 60 college credits or an associate or technical degree with additional training in police science, law enforcement; criminal justice administration; public administration; or related field.
