Police Officer

The City of Augusta is seeking part-time law enforcement officers to fill various shifts in addition to creating an eligibility list for future full time positions. The person hired will work all variations of the available shifts. Our part time need fluctuates but can be over 40 hours/week. The police department consists of three full-time officers as well as part time patrol and training officers. We have the ability to maintain 24 hour coverage within the City of Augusta. The City of Augusta also holds a contract for law enforcement services with the Town of Bridge Creek. As such, officers will patrol and handle calls for service in this expansive township. We currently have two patrol K9’s, one part time and one full time. We also have one therapy K9 in our school with our School Resource Officer. We train frequently throughout the several fields our in-house instructors are certified. We also encourage additional training opportunities throughout the year.
