Position Responsibilities

Preventive and directed patrol; Enforcement of federal, state and city laws; Obtain, verify & report information which provides the basis for making arrests; Enforcement of traffic laws & investigation of traffic accidents; Perform the physical functions of police officer. Maximum pay rate shown is after successful completion of an 18 month probationary period. There are step increases in between the minimum and maximum as spelled out by a union contract.
