Responsibilities:
The Code Enforcement Specialist is a civilian, non-sworn position of the Community Development Department. The position also works in conjunction with the Menasha Police Department. The position is primarily responsible for enforcement of public nuisances, housing code violations and ordinance violations. Secondary responsibilities include traffic direction, assisting motorists, investigation of animal complaints, and parking enforcement. The Code Enforcement Specialist must work in union with the Building Inspector, Community Development Department, Health Sanitarian, Police Department Officers and Police Support Staff. As a representative of the City of Menasha, the Code Enforcement Specialist is governed by high moral and legal standards. The philosophy requires dedication to the public service for the common good of all citizens.
