Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Swear an oath to uphold and defend the Constitutions of the United States of America and the State of Wisconsin. Perform all law enforcement functions. These duties include summer and winter recreational patrols. Therefore, experience in boating, ATV, and snowmobile is preferred. A background in the enforcement of Chapter 23.33, 30, and 350 is a plus. MUST be able to swim. Able to work weekends, holidays (religious and otherwise), birthdays, evenings. The ability to patrol with little supervision is required. MUST be able to attend mandatory department trainings and successfully complete the Field Training Program. Initial Interviews are expected to be held: February 8, 2022. If selected to move on, the second interview is expected to be held February 22, 2022.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Miao or Hmong are encouraged to apply.

60 college credits / Associate's degree
Additional Education Information
MUST have completed a Wisconsin accredited Law Enforcement Academy by 06-30-2022.
