Responsibilities:
We're looking for team members who embrace our community policing philosophy at at levels of our department including community engagement, problem-solving, criminal investigations, and traffic enforcement. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of service to our community. We place a heavy emphasis on professional development with every employee attending at least one specialized training course every year. In addition to in-service training, our staff attended 2,800 hours of specialized training last year! Numerous specialized roles and positions: Detective, SRO, Community Policing Officer, Motorcycle, K9, Special Response Team, Honor Guard, Drone Pilot, Training Officer, Instructor, supervisory opportunities, Evidence Technician, and more!
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Receive up to top patrol pay based on experience. Advancement of vacation & sick leave. Accelerated probationary period.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20

Education Requirements:
We value education, however a Bachelor's Degree isn't required below the rank of Sergeant. Tuition reimbursement program available.
