Full-Time Police Officer The Village of Woodville is accepting resumes for a full-time Police Officer to join our department and serve the residents and visitors of the community. The Village of Woodville offers a competitive benefits package, including: Health insurance. Employer HSA or IRA contributions. Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) enrollment. A 2-2-3 work schedule with every other weekend off. Additional compensation for call-ins and court appearances. All required uniforms and equipment provided. Law Enforcement Academy Sponsorship The Village of Woodville may consider sponsoring a qualified applicant to attend the 720-hour Wisconsin Law Enforcement Academy. For an applicant selected for sponsorship, the Village would provide: An hourly wage while attending the academy. Meal reimbursement. Mileage reimbursement. Responsibilities:
Woodville Police Officers are responsible for performing a wide variety of law enforcement duties to protect the public and preserve the safety, security, and overall well-being of the community. Duties include, but are not limited to: Fostering positive relationships between the police department and members of the community. Enforcing Wisconsin State Statutes and local Village ordinances. Maintaining public order and preserving peace and safety. Protecting life and property. Conducting criminal investigations and follow-up investigations. Investigating traffic crashes and other incidents. Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Preparing clear, accurate, and comprehensive reports and maintaining appropriate records. Providing assistance and support to community members and other public safety agencies. Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Officers are expected to exercise sound judgment and demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and respect in all interactions. Officers shall provide fair, impartial, and community-oriented law enforcement services while maintaining the highest standards of conduct in serving and protecting the residents and visitors of the Village of Woodville.

Qualifications:

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- Previous experience
