Responsibilities:
The Town of Linn Police Department is seeking motivated, community-oriented professionals to join our team. Officers perform a full range of law enforcement duties including proactive patrol, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, crash investigations, ordinance enforcement, emergency response, report writing, evidence collection, community engagement, and other duties necessary to preserve public safety.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Qualified lateral candidates are encouraged to apply. Starting wage placement and vacation benefits may be negotiated based upon prior full-time law enforcement experience, consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
