Prescott is a growing community in both industry and residential. The pay scale for 2026 ranges from $64,251.00 starting pay to $82,388.00 top pay for five plus years experience. Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the responsibility of serving the needs of the community. This responsibility includes: protecting constitutional guarantees of our democracy; safeguarding individual freedoms; protecting life and property by enforcing the law and reducing the opportunity for crime; maintaining public order by conflict resolution; facilitating the safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic; and the emergency service in response to the needs of the community.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Lateral transfers with 1+ years of experience may receive a higher placement on the pay and vacation steps.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
