The Brown County Sheriff's Office is looking for career minded, high integrity people to fill the challenging role of Patrol Officer for our Agency. We have over 18 specialty units, including K9, Boat patrol, Dive team and Bomb squad to name a few. We have 174 sworn (100+ on patrol), 149 non sworn (Jail staff) that make up our 350 + person agency and proudly serve our community. We contract and patrol 5 village suburbs of Green Bay and rural Brown County. Patrol work diversity and specialty units are endless. We are NOT a start in the jail Sheriff's Office, but do find many great candidates in our own ranks at the BC jail! Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
