Police Officer Recruitment General Information The Mount Horeb Police Department seeks to recruit individuals who will internalize our values of S.E.R.V.I.C.E.in every aspect of the position. The ideal candidate would have a diverse background with leadership and law enforcement experience. Position: Police Officer Applications are now being accepted for the position of full-time Police Officer for the Village of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. This process will be used to fill a vacancy. There is also a possibility of a lateral transfer option. Full-Time Starting wage is $33.51 per hour (through December 2025) and $34.85 per hour (January 2026), with a jump to $38.14 after probation (not including education rate bump). This position includes a comprehensive benefits package with health, dental, and life insurance. Minimum Qualifications: Two-year associate degree or 60 college credits from an accredited Wisconsin vocational or technical school, or an equivalent accredited institution from another state Good physical condition and moral character No felony or domestic violence convictions U.S. citizenship Valid Wisconsin driver’s license Certification or eligibility for certification with the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Board is preferred Apply by: Friday, October 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
