Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Receive and process 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, rescue and related services; track call activity into a computer aided dispatch program; monitor and operate a dispatch radio console to keep responders connected and informed.

  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Good driving record
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
Other Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in a clerical/receptionist field or in the police, fire, nursing or EMS field
  • Insurance acceptable driver’s license
  • TIME System Certification within six months of hire
