Position Responsibilities

Protection of life and property, enforce state and local laws/ordinances, conduct investigations and perform other essential functions of a police officer

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

New hires transferring to the department are eligible to be given credit for each full year of experience when determining starting salary and vacation immediately upon hire.Applicants whose most recent employer was an out-of-state governmental agency may receive an additional bonus of up to $500 per year of qualifying out-of-state law enforcement experience, up to a maximum of $2,000.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
