The Village of Winneconne is looking to establish an eligibility list for an anticipated opening. Interviews will take place as applications come in. The Village of Winneconne is located in Winnebago County on the Wolf River about 10 minutes west of Oshkosh on STH 116. The Village is growing with a new subdivision. Winneconne is a fishing and boating hotspot. There are many events throughout the year that bring in many people. Winneconne also has a top-rated school district. The PD has its own outdoor firearms range for training, and we do our own inhouse EVOC training. We have an updated evidence room that uses The BEAST evidence management software. Pay rates will increase each year based on the patrol officer contract and based on length of service. Top patrol rate in 2029 will be $40.92hr. A $10,000 a year stipend will be given to employees who do not take a family health insurance plan. The stipend will be $5000 a year for a single health insurance plan. Preference will be given to candidates already certifiable. We will also consider a lateral transfer opportunity.

Responsibilities:
This position is for full-time patrol officer. The duties are as follows but not limited to: Traffic enforcement, calls for service, building security checks, community policing activities, follow up investigations, ordinance and parking enforcement and general police duties. Full-time officers will have the opportunity to take on more specialized duties. Small town officers must wear different hats of responsibility. The position is 4 days on and 5 days off, 12-hour shifts. Totaling 1947hours a year. PTO is earned at 8 hours a pay-period starting out but will increase after length of service.

- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
