Position Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Chief of Police, the Police Officer works collaboratively with the public to prevent crime and provide effective law enforcement services to the community. The officer enforces the laws of the State of Wisconsin, Federal laws, the U.S. Constitution, and the ordinances of the City of Whitehall with fairness and integrity. This position involves patrolling the City of Whitehall to deter and detect criminal activity, ensure public safety, enforce traffic regulations, and maintain peace and order within the community.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20
