Responsibilities:
The position of Police Lieutenant is a first-level leadership position with oversight responsibility for members of the Patrol Division. Police Lieutenants are also empowered to develop, implement, and administer department programs and special projects.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
New employees may be granted a starting wage up to Step 10 of the wage scale, equivalent to the start of year ten of employment with the Town. New employees may be granted vacation benefits equal to one week upon hire and eligibility for up to a third week based upon the credited years of service used to establish the starting wage; New employees may be advanced up to 300 hours of sick leave, with the understanding that no further sick leave will accrue until the month of employment that follows the month in which the same number of sick hours would have accrued naturally. These benefits will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
