Position Responsibilities
This position is for a salaried, uniformed, Lieutenant, assigned to patrol. This position serves as the 3rd in command of a 10 officer department, working closely with and reporting to the Chief of Police. This position will serve as the supervisor of an assigned shift, and includes patrol responsibilities. The Lieutenant works closely with patrol officers, mentoring and supervising them. The Lieutenant will have varied collateral duties assigned by the Chief of Police.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- Previous experience
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
Other Qualifications
- Currently certified as a sworn law enforcement officer in the State of Wisconsin and in good standing with current agency.
- 5 years full time sworn law enforcement experience required.
- Instructor level certification in law enforcement disciplines desirable.
- Experience as an FTO (field training officer) and/or FTO Supervisor desirable.
