The City of Bayfield, on Lake Superior, has an opportunity to hire a full-time officer. The wage is $34.09 per hour. We will now be offering take-home squads, based on circumstances and availability. Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Full-time patrol officer in the City of Bayfield, enforcing State laws and municipal code. Duties include: patrolling, responding to calls for service, apprehending violators, traffic enforcement, investigations, completing paperwork, community policing (possibly including time in the Bayfield School), and all other duties assigned by the Chief of Police.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
