Responsibilities:
Position Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is general police work involving protection of life and property, enforcement of laws, crime investigation, and service to the public. The officer has a significant impact of the quality of life through community partnership, strategic police patrols, and thorough investigations.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Lateral transfers will be considered for officers in good standing. Officers with a minimum of two years of LE experience would immediately receive up to 3 weeks vacation and top patrol officer wage.

- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
