The City of Delavan Police Department serves the City of Delavan along with the Village of Darien in providing police services to our respective communities. Our department offers officers several opportunities including but not limited to Field Training Officers, Specialized Crime Unit, K-9 Officer, Peer Support Team, and Drone operators. We also offer a competitive 11-hour work schedule where officers work only half the year having every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off to provide a healthy balance between home and work life. Interviews will be conducted throughout the process as qualified applications are received. This will be an aggressive process, so applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:
The City of Delavan Police Department is currently seeking motivated, certifiable police officer candidates to fill expected vacancies. Police Officers are responsible for a wide range of tasks associated with police service, including but not limited to the enforcement of laws and ordinances, the investigation of crimes and other incidents of public concern, the protection of life, property, and public order, and other services which contribute to the individual and collective safety and welfare of citizens. Our police officers are expected to be diligent and aggressive in the performance of duties and responsibilities, consistent with department policies, and priorities, and to be mindful of departmental goals and objectives. Police officers report to patrol lieutenants through their shift patrol sergeants, receiving general supervision and from time to time and direction as to specific duties and responsibilities when needed.

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
