Position Responsibilities

We are seeking immediate part-time and full-time law enforcement officers to work day and afternoon shifts. The person hired will be expected to work all variations of the available shifts. Our part-time need fluctuates but can average 30-40 hours per pay period. Total shift hours are divided between other part-time staff and are not required of one individual. Our full-time need is for 80 hours per pay period. We maintain coverage from 7am-11pm. We only hire certified police officers.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

Officers with at least two years experience are eligible for $30.72 an hour as a full time officer.

  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • Previous experience
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20

Education Requirements:

High school diploma
60 college credits / Associate's degree
Additional Education Information
Graduation from an approved police academy in this or another state.
