Water/Lake Patrol

The purpose of this position is to patrol the recreational lakes of the City of Muskego. Successful candidates must be certified police officers in the State of Wisconsin. The primary focus of this position is enforcement of the Chapter 30 WI Statutes and local lake ordinances as well as educating the public on water safety while monitoring activity on the lakes. Successful candidates will be at least 21 years of age, high school graduate, possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and be a certified Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer. Additionally, successful candidates will have the ability to apply situational awareness while exercising good judgement in stressful situations, decisiveness and creativity in complex situations and the ability to communicate effectively with the general public as well as city staff.
