Course Description
This 720-hour training meets the requirement to be eligible for certification by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board as a Law Enforcement Officer. The curriculum is set by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Training and Standards Bureau and is taught by certified Law Enforcement Academy Instructors.
Prerequisites
Candidates must have 60 college credits at an associate degree level or higher or be employed by a sponsoring agency. For non-hired/"pre-service" candidates, there is a detailed selection process, to include Physical Readiness Test, interview, and background check.
