Course Description
This 720-hour academy is specifically designed for potential law enforcement officers in need of meeting Wisconsin certification requirements. The competency-based instruction meets the criteria set forth by the Wisconsin DOJ, Training and Standards Bureau. All full-time training is conducted at the Sparta Public Safety Training Center. The training instructors are a combination of full-time educators, law enforcement officers and supervisors who are recognized as leaders in law enforcement training.
Prerequisites
Candidates must have 40 college credits at an Associate's Degree level or higher or be employed by the sponsoring agency. Detailed application process required for pre-service candidates. Interviews & background checks/fingerprinting are required before admission to the program.
