Basic Jail Officer training

The 200 hour Jail Recruit Academy is conducted at the Milwaukee County Community Reintegration Center. This training is funded by the Wisconsin Training and Standards Bureau for qualified students that are employed as jail officers in Wisconsin. The Academy is certified by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB). All curriculum presented meets or exceeds the required standards. Upon successful completion the student will be eligible for the State required certification as a Correctional Officer by the Wisconsin LESB. Class hours are typically 8:00am to 4:30pm M-F, but may be adjusted as needed.
