Position Responsibilities

This is a patrol deputy position. Patrol deputies will be issued a take home squad that is assigned to them. Deputies are eligible for specialized teams like SWAT, Dive, Boat Patrol, Drug Unit, Honor Guard, K-9, Hostage Negotiation, Critical Incident Debriefing, Accident Reconstruction, Crime Scene Evidence Tech, and Drone Unit.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

Based on prior years’ experience, education, and additional skills to determine, singly or in combination the rate of pay and vacation eligibility [up to the sixty (60) month step, $32.517 per hour, and an additional $2 per hour for all weekend hours worked] that may be granted to such qualified LTC upon hire, but will not exceed a 1:1 ratio of previous full time years of experience. Seniority for all other purposed shall be based on the LTC’s date of hire in this bargaining unit.
