Position Responsibilities

Patrol duties throughout the 29 sq miles of the Town of Turtle, located in southern Rock County. Heavy enforcement of aggressive traffic on local, and county roadways as well as on I-39/90 and I-43. High visibility patrol, assisting citizens, answering calls for service, providing assistance to other departments and agencies. Completing UTCs and traffic crash reports in BadgerTRACS as well as completing police reports in Spillman/FLEX and using the CAD/P1 system. 3 - 4 to 8 hour shifts required per month as a minimum deployments. Shifts can be between 4-8 hours with flexible times that fit the officer's schedule. At this time only accepting currently licensed/certified full time officers employed by other departments. $20 - $22.00 per/hr to start. Flexible schedule. Approved paid training courses outside those provided by fulltime employer*. No paid holidays, sick time, pension/retirement benefits.
