Position Responsibilities

POLICE OFFICER TRAINEE. Responsibility: Successfully attend and complete law enforcement recruit school to become eligible for certification as a Wisconsin police officer. Thereafter, enforce laws and ordinances, perform preventive and proactive patrol, and respond to calls for service. Upon completion of recruit academy, officers work rotating 12-hour shifts with a 3-day weekend every other week, with little forced overtime.
