Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

In addition to answering calls and patrolling, the sergeant will take on the role of investigating higher profile cases. For example; sexual assaults, fraud, suspicious deaths, child abuse, and drug cases, to name a few. The sergeant will also be responsible for some administrative duties and will be the department FTO. The Village of Cameron is willing to train the right person for this position if not all qualifications are met.

  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • Previous experience
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
