Position Responsibilities

Fennimore Police Officers engage in community policing, proactive patrol and handle all calls for service during their shift. Officers complete their own investigations and work as a team to address larger problems in the community.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

New hires with prior sworn law enforcement experience may be eligible for full officer wage and vacation time at hiring date based on prior years of service.

  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen

60 college credits / Associate's degree
