THE SELECTION PROCESS will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: training and experience evaluation; written, oral or performance tests; typing proficiency test or other assessment methods. The Department of Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified candidates to oral and performance examinations. Oral examinations may include written exercises. Selection process component weights will be determined by further analysis of the job. Anticipated Written Examination Dates: Tuesday, June 27th; Wednesday, June 28th; Friday, June 30th and Saturday, July 1st, 2023.

Responsibilities:
The Records Clerk performs various 24/7 office support work activities associated with the general administrative processes of the Police Department, including preparation and maintenance of official records; transcription and dictation of crime reports; data entry; customer service; processing of incoming and outgoing administrative telecommunications; recording and electronic tracking of related activities; monitoring of various safety systems and other police administration activities.

Qualifications:
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems

- A minimum of 3 years of administrative, secretarial, and office support experience, preferably in the public sector.
- A minimum of 2 years of transcription experience, preferably in the public sector
- Proficiency with computer software programs, including spreadsheets, word processing and Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to work a rotational 5/2-4/2 schedule to include: evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts
