Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

The Records Clerk performs various 24/7 office support work activities associated with the general administrative processes of the Police Department, including preparation and maintenance of official records; transcription and dictation of crime reports; data entry; customer service; processing of incoming and outgoing administrative telecommunications; recording and electronic tracking of related activities; monitoring of various safety systems and other police administration activities.

Other Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative, secretarial, and office support experience, preferably in the public sector.
  • A minimum of 2 years of transcription experience, preferably in the public sector
  • Proficiency with computer software programs, including spreadsheets, word processing and Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to work a rotational 5/2-4/2 schedule to include: evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts
