Qualifications:

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
Other Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in LESB-approved recruit academy, OR be eligible for reciprocity exam.

60 college credits / Associate's degree
Additional Education Information
No prior experience? Paid field training rate increases to $20/hr when on solo patrol. 2,080 hours previous experience? $23/hr during training and solo patrol.
