Located in South-Central Wisconsin, Green County has 16 towns, 6 villages and 2 cities, and the county seat is Monroe. Green County's land area is made up of 585 square miles and a population of nearly 37,000. Sheriff's Deputies have the following opportunities to serve:
Honor Guard, SWAT, Drug Investigations, ATV Patrol, Drone Operator, Crisis Negotiator, Field Training Officer and as a WI DOJ Certified Instructor. Incentive pay for physical readiness, FTO and DOJ Instructor.
Must be available to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, which includes nights, weekends and holidays. This rotating schedule allows for the employee to have every other Friday-Saturday-Sunday off.

Sheriff's Deputies are visible representatives of Green County and the Green County Sheriff's Office, providing protection to the citizens we serve. Sheriff's Deputies have the general authority to enforce state statutes and ordinances of the county. They may also enforce town or municipal ordinances established under law.

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations

- Vision correctable to 20/20
