Position Responsibilities

The Capitol Police Officer position performs all security and law enforcement functions on the assigned shift at DOA owned and leased facilities. This position provides law enforcement services to the citizens of the State of Wisconsin.

Other Benefits
  • Candidates new to state service may be eligible for a $2000 sign-on bonus. In addition, a $5.00 per hour temporary add-on will be paid for all hours worked through June 17, 2023.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

  • Vision correctable to 20/20

  • This position may also be filled as a bilingual police officer (Spanish/English).
