Responsibilities:
Sworn Police Officer positions are responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Work involves patrolling, responding to criminal, suspicious, traffic and unusual situations as directed; investigating crime, gathering evidence, apprehending violators, solving problems, protecting victims and property, responding to emergency situations, completing appropriate paperwork and other related duties as required. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule and every other weekend.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Lateral transfers are accepted and may be eligible for increased staring wages, based on years of experience.

- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- Vision correctable to 20/20
