Position Responsibilities

This position is assigned to the Division of Emergency Management. Develops plans and policies for the Administration of Hazardous Materials and Emergency Management programs, writes and administers state and federal grants, obtains, analyzes and assembles information needed for all hazardous materials, develops public relations programs, establishes and maintains good working relationships with citizen groups, service providers, EMS, fire departments and other organizations and other duties as directed by the Sheriff or his/her designee. May be assigned on-call responsibilities.

Additional Education Information
The successful applicant will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school, related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, program development and/or experience in working with public safety and knowledge of and skills in Emergency Management.
