Position Responsibilities

-Answer non-emergency phone calls, provide assistance to caller or directs call to appropriate personnel based on the nature of inquiry. -Provide assistance to Police Department visitors, including PD personnel. -Computer data entry of complaints, reports, citations, supplementals and dispositions. -Types and distributes reports, memos and related documents. -Prepares daily deposit of payment received. -Processes incoming and outgoing mail -Performs department tasks related to Municipal Court. -Maintains department files of official documents. -Query data from and entering data into the WI TIME TTY System. -Serve as a matron when needed upon the arrest of a female prisoner. -Maintaining and updating business key holders and Restraining Orders. -Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems

  • Vision correctable to 20/20

Education Requirements:

High school diploma
Additional Education Information
High school diploma or GED; One year experience in a general office environment preferred; Proficient typing; Strong Communication Skills; Computer data entry and word processing experience; Strong clerical, organizational, written and oral communication skills including spelling and grammatical skills; Ability to work various shifts; Wisconsin Department of Justice TIME Teletype System Certifications I & II within six months of employment; Very good telephone skills; Ability to operate basic office equipment, computers, two way radio multi-line telephone system, and cash register.
