Position Responsibilities

Conduct patrol duties, respond to calls, assist the public, enforce traffic laws, investigate traffic crashes, conduct investigations, enforce federal, state and local laws, prepare written reports, forms, and other documents as required, and testify in criminal and municipal court proceedings.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

$5,000 Hiring Bonus for currently employed full-time officers with 3 years' experience. Any lateral hire can start at a higher rate of pay and greater amount of vacation time than that of an officer with no previous experience. Officers work 11-hour shifts on a 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off rotation. Having every other 3-day weekend off.
