Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Conduct patrol duties, respond to calls, assist the public, enforce traffic laws, investigate traffic crashes, conduct investigations, enforce federal, state and local laws, prepare written reports, forms, and other documents as required, and testify in Court proceedings.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

We encourage experienced officers to apply. Newly hired officer with experience can be hired at a higher rate of pay and greater amount of vacation time than that of an officer with no previous experience. Officers work 12 hour shifts on a 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off rotation. Having every other 3-day weekend off.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions

  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
