A Police Officer performs a wide variety of duties connected with general police work including investigation and general enforcement of laws and ordinances in the City of Superior, in addition to advancing the mission of the Superior Police Department.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

A Lateral Transfer Police Officer must have one year of full-time law enforcement experience and be eligible to become a Certified Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer prior to hire. Upon hire, a Lateral Transfer Police Officer will be credited with his/her years of full-time law enforcement for the purposes of wage placement, vacation accrual, and minimum experience for Detective application.   • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record

  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20
