SALARY & BENEFITS: The hourly starting rate of pay is $24.70 per hour, with a wage increase to $25.97 per hour after one year of service, based on 2022 wages.

  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20

Education Requirements:

Additional Education Information
QUALIFICATIONS: have earned 60 college credits or an Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or is able to obtain 60 college credits within the first five years of employment; have successfully completed Wisconsin certified recruit training or will complete recruit training prior to appointment, or presently be certified as a law enforcement officer by the State of Wisconsin; ability to use all police equipment, and have the ability to physically perform all police tasks.
