Responsibilities:
Job Summary: Provide full spectrum analytical support to law enforcement staff and prosecutors conducting criminal investigations, particularly organized multijurisdictional criminal activity, complex financial crimes, public corruption, and domestic violence. Analyze voluminous data using computer software, social media and data mining techniques, . Analysis directly supports successful prosecution of criminal cases. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrate analytical findings such as target relationships, time sequence of events, and criminal hierarchies. Prepare written reports documenting and summarizing investigative findings. Testify in court. Assist in analytical exploitation of notes, files, records, and electronic media resulting from criminal investigations. Analyze telephone voice and data records and other electronic communication in support of criminal investigations. Prepare affidavits in support of search warrants and subpoenas to obtain business and financial documents for further analysis; conduct such analysis including preparation of spreadsheets and court exhibits. Under the guidance of an investigator or prosecutor, prepare complex criminal investigation files for presentation in state and federal court proceedings. Prepare comprehensive criminal history and all-source intelligence background investigations on defendants, victims, and witnesses in conjunction with criminal cases. Provide analytical input on pending and prospective investigations for law enforcement supervisors and senior legal staff. Assist in the evaluation of incoming complaints and advise on targeting decisions.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or higher degree from an approved college or university in computer science, criminology or very closely related field. At least 2 years or more of professional experience working as a crime analyst is required. Basic level of experience utilizing personal computers, photocopier, sophisticated analytical software and plotter printers.
