Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility the Investigative Services Sergeant is line supervision of the Department's Investigative positions and administration of its programs. This position is under the general supervision of a Police Captain and is responsible for the safety and security, on all University properties, of all staff, students and the general public. This sergeant has the responsibility for providing supervisory reports regarding Investigative Services; ensuring compliance with mandates; leading, managing and supervising the personnel assigned to Investigative Services; establishing goals; creating and communicating written directives and guidelines; creating and engaging and inclusive work environment; responding to and managing incidents, events and emergencies; providing leadership department-wide; planning and preparation for incidents, events and emergencies; building relationships with staff, key partners, other entities and the community.

Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good verbal and written communication skills
