Position Responsibilities

The City of Augusta is seeking part-time officers to fill various shifts. The person hired will work evenings, weekends and holidays. The wage range is currently $16.50-19.00/hr. Our part time need fluctuates but averages over 100 hours/ month. The police department consists of four full-time officers as well as part time patrol and training officers. We have the ability to maintain 24 hour coverage within the City of Augusta. We currently have two patrol K9’s, one part time and one full time. We also have one therapy K9 in our school with our School Resource Officer. We train a minimum of monthly throughout the several fields our in-house instructors are certified. We also encourage additional training opportunities throughout the year. Officers work alone except during training time and other special duties. Please submit a complete DJ-LE-330. Also submit DJ-LE-305, authorization for release of information.
